Citrus is a symbol of luxury and hospitality in southern Italy, particularly in Sicily from where the Cicala family emigrated. It is also a dedication to Joe Cicala’s great-grandmother, Clementina. The snake represents Angizia, the pagan snake goddess of the Marsi tribe who inhabited Angela Cicala’s familiar region of Abruzzo.
We are proud to serve authentic family recipes, rooted in the folklore and traditions of Italy’s southern regions.

Start with a ceremony al fresco on our ample outdoor patio or in the historic hotel lobby, and then wow your guests with classic, southern Italian cuisine and signature cocktails in our lavish dining room.
Our dining room has been home to many special occasions throughout the building's history since its construction in 1892 and was considered one of the most elegant hotels in Philadelphia in its heyday. It features seven sparkling chandeliers, an antique bar handcrafted in Italy, and plush velvet booths. We would be honored to host your special day, and our attentive and experienced staff will ensure your event will be perfectly tailored to your vision from start to finish.
